Some thoughts from the producer...

So after that long hiatus, volume nine has come and gone without a hitch. I know there were a couple days where I got the comic posted a little bit latish, but I kept to the schedule pretty rigorously. I hope all of you that have been reading it have enjoyed the regular posts again. It has been fun getting productive again and posting new stuff with these characters.

Here is where things currently stand with the next volume. I am currently finishing up the artwork on the last few pages which means that the majority of the work has been finished, but there is still a pretty substantial amount left to do. Specifically, all the layout and dialogue. I can't make any firm promises as to when it will begin getting new pages posted, but I'm going to do my best to try and have them ready within the next couple of weeks.

I'll be taking a short break from updates for Thanksgiving this week. So there won't be anything posted on Wednesday or Friday, but I will try to have some interim materials to post on the site over the next weekend.

I'll also be finally making good on that promise to provide volumes as a .zip archive that you can download to view outside of the light-boxed method that this CMS uses to present the images. That way you can zoom in if you are having difficulty reading the smallish font.

Let me know what you thought of volume nine. I tried to come up with a storyline this time that was a bit more involved, and it seemed like it was working pretty well in terms of giving the volume a bit more flow to it. However, that said, I also still like the volumes to be more 'sketch' oriented since that leaves things with the possibility of being a bit more random and surprising as they go on. Any preferences?

I absolutely loved the new mid-slime poses where the characters seemed to be enjoying themselves, or at least finding the experience funny. I also liked the Epic Adventure, and what that added, and think a theme or overplot for a volume is not a bad idea. My major criticism would be that the scenes didn't vary much this volume. Almost every scene was two pages of set-up, then one character gets slimed. I won't lie, my main attraction to this comic is that the girls get messy, and I'd like to more, and less predictably. I feel like the early volumes were less formulaic, and I enjoyed that more at times. At the same time, you churn this comic out at an amazing speed and I don't want to criticize too much, as you do a great job. I would just try to be a little more spontaneous. Also, the 2.0 version had some fun with outfits, and if you could get that into the classic in the future that would be awesome. Finally, different colors of slime (maybe with extra keywords, add to the possible set-ups). All in all, keep up the great work, I really appreciate it.
